New Construction Electrical

Ground-up electrical construction for commercial, industrial and multifamily projects.

On new construction the electrical contractor is on site from the earliest underground work to the final trim, which means we are a schedule dependency for almost every other trade. We plan our manpower around the general contractor's schedule rather than our own convenience.

Delivery methods

We work both design-build and plan-and-spec. On design-build projects we develop the electrical design against your budget and program, which usually produces a more buildable and less expensive system than a design drawn without contractor input. On plan-and-spec we build to the engineer's drawings and flag conflicts during submittals rather than during rough-in.

  • Underground and site electrical, including utility coordination
  • Temporary power for the construction site
  • Service entrance, switchgear and distribution
  • Rough-in, branch circuiting and device boxes
  • Lighting, controls and energy code commissioning
  • Fire alarm, life safety and emergency circuits
  • Trim, testing, punch and closeout documentation

Coordination and prefabrication

We coordinate our layouts against mechanical and plumbing before we hang a single hanger, which avoids the rework that happens when three trades independently claim the same corridor. On larger projects we prefabricate assemblies off site to compress the field schedule and improve consistency.

Common questions

Do you offer design-build electrical?

Yes. We regularly develop electrical design against an owner's budget and program. Design-build typically produces a lower installed cost than plan-and-spec because constructability is considered during design rather than discovered during construction.

What size projects do you take?

We work everything from small commercial build-outs to multi-million dollar ground-up projects. Our crew capacity scales, and we staff by project rather than assigning whoever is available.
