Markets We Serve
Retail Electrical Contracting
Store build-outs, multi-site rollouts and lighting programs that respect selling hours.
Retail electrical work has one constraint that overrides everything else: the store has to open. Every schedule, every outage and every crew assignment gets planned backward from that, and contractors who do not understand it cost their clients real revenue.
Work happens after close
Our retail crews run overnight and early-morning shifts as a default, not an exception. Sales floors are clear, clean and safe before doors open.
Lighting is merchandising
Color temperature and CRI change how product looks. We hold lighting consistent across a chain so a garment does not read differently in one location than another.
Brand consistency across sites
A rollout across forty stores should produce forty identical results. We work to a documented standard, not to whichever crew shows up.

Lighting is merchandising, and it is measurable
Retail is the one environment where lighting quality has a direct, documented effect on revenue. Colour rendering determines whether merchandise looks the way the buyer intended. Contrast ratio between general and accent lighting determines where the eye goes. Neither is a matter of taste — both are specified numerically and both are frequently got wrong by contractors who treat a store like a warehouse with nicer floors.
The specification points that matter in retail:
- CRI above 90 for apparel, cosmetics and fresh food — 80 is not adequate
- R9 value specifically, which governs how reds render and is omitted from most datasheets
- Consistent colour temperature across a chain so product reads identically store to store
- Accent-to-ambient contrast ratios of roughly 3:1 for feature displays
- Tight colour binning so adjacent fixtures do not visibly differ
- Beam angle selection matched to shelf height and aisle width
Running a multi-site rollout
A programme across forty stores should produce forty identical results. That does not happen by assigning whichever crew is free — it happens because there is a written standard, a single point of contact, and a reporting structure that surfaces a deviation at store three rather than store thirty.
We build a specification package, pilot it in one location, get sign-off on the finished condition, then replicate against that documented standard with consolidated reporting across every site.
Harmonics after a chain-wide LED conversion
Converting a whole store to LED replaces linear load with non-linear load in one step. On a single store this is rarely material. Across a portfolio with refrigeration drives, HVAC drives and POS infrastructure already on the system, it can move a facility measurably toward the IEEE 519 limits.
We measure after large conversions rather than assuming. See power quality and harmonics.

Could our LED retrofit have caused power quality problems?
It can contribute. LED drivers are non-linear loads, and converting a full store at once adds harmonic current to a system that may already carry refrigeration and HVAC drives. On a single store it is rarely material; across a portfolio it is worth measuring. It is not a reason to avoid LED — just a reason to check afterwards.
Can you roll out across multiple states?
Yes. We have delivered coordinated multi-site programs in more than 14 states with a single point of contact, one standard, and consolidated reporting across every location.
Do you work overnight?
Routinely. Most retail work we perform happens outside operating hours, and our pricing reflects that as a normal condition rather than a premium exception.
